HMS Beagle
I recently heard that this year marks the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth and 150th of his staggeringly important and influential book. While Darwin may not be the true originator of the now incontrovertible concept of natural selection, he did demonstrate and popularize it via ironclad reasoning and voluminous evidence. However, that there somehow seem to be a few modern-day intellectual Neanderthals huddled at the far extreme of the normal curve who do not accept the obvious and overwhelming validity of natural selection and evolution does provide some puzzling contradictory data to the theory. Yet I'm really wondering today what the evolutionary advantage was to having fingernails grow at four times the rate of toenails.
And by the way, would you please stop using hand cleaners with triclosan!
