Wedding date

As we enter the wedding season a word of warning to the single men out there: when asked to attend a wedding with your girl friend, stay away. To attend a wedding as a date/boyfriend is to invite inevitable impending doom. Criticize me as sexist as you will, but I've never met a man who has dreamed of his wedding day and hardly met a woman who hasn't. Attending with a single woman will in all likelihood bring those dreams to the fore as she envisions what her day will be like. While you're wondering if there will be an open bar, she will be considering in earnest whether "you're the one" or not. That's bad news either way. There will be a discussion, and it's not going to be pretty.
