Smells like teen spirit

We have so many words in the English language, with many redundant (especially from the "high" French and "low" German, e.g., basement and cellar, reflective of Norman and Teutonic conquests of England) and many reflective of subtle differences (e.g., happy, glad, etc.).  Yet we don't seem to have any words capturing the qualities of the teenage voice especially for girls.  Any parent knows the vocal tones reflective of teenage attitudes, but how to describe those uniquely teenage expressions of drama, immaturity, impertinence, sarcasm, insecurity, joy, exasperation, and seemingly a thousand other variations of emotions and states of mind not seen before nor to be seen as adults?  But as any parent knows, life with a teenager is Nirvana.
