Saturday night bath

Two tubs.  Why?  I'm sure a lot of people, like me, think the two tubs are kind of dumb.  OK, really dumb.  But they are memorable.  So what did the advertisers have in mind?  I can't say, as I haven't talked to them or read anything about it.  There's probably something about this on the internet, probably a lot, but I'm not particularly motivated to spend any time on this (maybe there should be a pill to increase my interest).

I'm guessing that the intent is to appeal symbolically to the subconscious, but in what way?  Maybe the tubs are supposed to represent sensuality and relaxation, keying in on the differential advantage of the product that it lasts longer than its competitors, so you can relax and take your time.  Also, this product and commercial, though obviously for men, to me seems more feminine the those for the competitor products.  So maybe this appeal is more overtly to couples and not just about male performance.  I get that subtlety is required for advertising such a product, but the tubs still seem dumb.
